We are now recruiting for a Learning & Development Officer to support the changing needs of our people and our business.
The Learning & Development Officer will deliver selected training sessions on our talent development programme for new and existing employees and work closely with the delivery team and wider Learning & Development functions. Reporting to the L&D Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality learning within the remits of the talent development programme at level 3 and evaluating existing material so that it is fit for purpose.
This role is Ofsted regulated and the successful applicant will be required to maintain a Continued Personal Development.
What does the job involve?
- Liaise with departmental managers and staff to book people onto training sessions and issue joining instructions to participants where required.
- Design and deliver a variety of training sessions for new and existing employees related to apprentice standards and CMI qualifications.
- Prepare and maintain materials for in-house training events.
- Administer the training feedback process including creating questionnaires, issuing links to surveys, collating results and producing monthly reports and training statistics.
- Monitor and evaluate on key data related to the return on investment/return on expectation for training events and learning programmes.
- Support the co-ordination and maintenance of the schedule of company training events and activities, liaising with the wider L&D team and other external trainers
- Chair a weekly drop-in session to support queries related to the talent development programme.
- Conduct end of module coaching sessions to support the ongoing development of those enrolled onto the programme.
- Following the CMI guidelines on providing the relevant supportive documents and mapped show-case portfolios.
- Complete all on programme paperwork and related gateway paperwork and systems as per the request of the L&D Manager
- Administer the training feedback process including creating questionnaires, issuing links to surveys, collating results, and producing monthly reports and statistics.
- Work with the Apprenticeship team to monitor and evaluate on key data related to the return on investment/return on expectation for the talent development programmes.
- Create and deliver a talent retention programme for those unsuccessful candidates
What you'll have:
- Learning & Development (CIPD Level 5) qualification
- Coaching qualification (Level 5 or work experience equivalent).
- Previous experience of talent development training preparation, delivery, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of regulatory training requirements
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Excellent communication skills, including facilitation and presenting skills.
- Ability to plan and organise effectively and good time management.
- Strong I.T. skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Resilient: comfortable under pressure and able to meet challenging deadlines
