Job Opportunity: Learning Mentor / Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Southwark, South East London

Role Overview:Our teaching agency is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant and Learning Mentor to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in a mainstream primary school located in the Southwark borough. This is a vital role where you will provide tailored support, help the child navigate their learning environment, and contribute to their personal and academic growth.

Key Details:

• Location: Southwark, South East London
• Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
• Start Date: Immediate start available
• Pay Rate: £90-£100 per day (PAYE)

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a Learning Mentor position or similar role, supporting children with challenging behaviour, is highly beneficial.
• Training or experience in Team Teach, positive handling, or restraint techniques is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build a trusting relationship with the child.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to ensuring the child's needs are met within a mainstream school environment.
