A welcoming and inclusive school in Lambeth is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is an ideal role for someone looking to make a meaningful impact on the education and well-being of students who require additional support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across various subjects.
• Work closely with teachers to ensure that students with additional learning needs are fully supported in the classroom.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to track and support student progress.
• Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring students feel engaged and motivated.
• Support students with emotional and behavioural challenges to enhance their learning experience.
• Work with external professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to provide additional support where required.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or similar role is desirable.
• A recent graduate looking to get hands on classroom experience.
• A passion for working with young people, particularly those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or dyslexia.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A flexible and patient approach to working with students who may face challenges in their learning.
• A commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
