Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support within a mainstream primary school setting, located within the New Forest area. This role is to support young pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups who require additional support.
The school is a mainstream primary school located within the New Forest area, where they encourage all young people to achieve to the best of their abilities whilst providing them with the best educational journey possible, in order to equip them for life after school. The school currently have a small number of pupils with EHCP's that require specialist support to ensure adaptable learning and encouragement support on a smaller scale basis.
As the Learning Support Assistant, you will connect and develop a trusted relationship with the child/children you will be supporting, working collaboratively with the school, class teacher and parents to ensure you provide excellent tailored support to best assist with the learning of the pupils within your assigned classes. You will support pupils with their learning journeys whilst supporting the class teacher with the delivery of the lesson content, working with pupils to ensure this is adapted where needs be.
For this role, you will:- Have previous school experience or very similar- Be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of ways- Have experience working with young people within an educational setting - Be able to take a caring and responsive approach, and able to work on a one-to-one basis
The salary for this role is currently set between £80-90 per day, and is a long-term, full-time position on a temporary basis.
