This school is number 1 in the local catchment and is over subscribed year on year. This is a primary and secondary setting that currently supports 95 pupils with the view to growing in September 2025. This setting is an independent specialist school that supports severe and complex needs.

This school is currently recruiting for 2 Learning Support Assistants to join the team. In this role you're offered the opportunity to train and progress in a supportive working environment. Your role will entail supporting children on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis. You're supporting the 'whole child' so in addition to supporting their education you're also integral in ensuring their well being, building their confidence, developing life skills and encouraging socialisation.

This role is required on a full time permanent basis and is a term time only role.

All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:

  • Relevant SEN experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience working or volunteering with children or young adults (desirable)
  • English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons and learning activities
  • Communicating with teachers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
