Learning Support Assistant - Worthing

At Engage, we know that a school runs on quality support staff. We’ve spent over a decade building strong relationships with schools in Worthing, and we’re now looking to recruit for one of our Outstanding Primary schools.

The right candidate will need to provide educational and personal support to children aged 4-11 with a diagnosis of Autism, usually high functioning Autism or Asperger’s syndrome.

They are looking for proactive and passionate LSA’s who are keen to interact with students. This role would be suitable for trainees and Graduates, who are eager to pursue a career within Special Education. Psychology Graduates are always really highly looked upon for this role, so anyone with a psychology degree or background are strongly encouraged to apply!

It is not essential to have school based experience, as training can be provided. However, having some experience with Autism (either personally or professionally) would be preferable!

About the role:

The role:

• Earn a minimum £350 per week
• Full-time positions available
• Small group work and intervention support responsibilities
• 1:1 support for special needs and lower ability pupils

• Have experience working with students aged 5-16
• Be confident managing behaviour
• Have a fun but firm presence
• Have an interest in education
