This school is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all its students and is seeking a compassionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team and make a significant impact on the lives of students with challenging behaviour.

Role Overview: As an LSA specialising in managing difficult behaviour, you will work closely with students, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers to learning. Your role will involve collaborating with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a positive and conducive learning environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with challenging behaviour.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet the needs of students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for students.
  • Support students in developing social skills and positive behaviours.
  • Attend training and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour is essential.
  • A background in education, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Team player with a proactive and flexible approach.
