SEN PMLD Lecturer UxbridgeWe are currently recruiting for a specialist SEN Lecturer to work with pupils who have PMLD.This specialist college caters to young people between the ages of 16 and 19 who experience profound learning difficulties and complex needs.  The college is looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and compassionate teacher to come on board and join their hard working SEN team.Required skills:You will need to have previous experience of working within SEN (ideally within complex needs, PMLD/ ASD)Post 16 Teaching experience You will need to have experience with PECs or MAKATONYou will be required to be committed to the development of both yourself and the pupils in your classYou must be able to deliver outstanding teaching and learning alongside a multi-disciplinary classroom teamYou must understand and be committed to safeguarding childrenQTLS or PGCE or further education qualificationYou will plan differentiated work to meet the needs of individuals and groups promoting progression, continuity and quality of learning by having clear intentions for our students learning.You should be able to accurately access need, deliver teaching reflective of need and measure progress with a determination to positively impact on the lives of our pupils.Lessons are carefully planned and take into account the needs, interests and abilities of all students so that learning is more purposeful and engaging.To implement College policies and schemes of work according to the individual needs of students, having high expectations and setting challenging targetsTo implement the curriculum in accordance with the college philosophy and policiesTo organise personalised learning activities and experiences which are differentiated to meet the individual needs and levels of achievement of each pupil To ensure teaching programmes are supported by clear aims and objectives with appropriate links to recognised specialist approaches used within school including; TEACCH, PECS, SCERTS, Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction and sensory regulation as appropriate.
