Job DetailsJob Title:Lecturer / Teacher of English Literature (A-Level)Department:Maths and EnglishCampus:Havant Salary:Grade 5 Spine Point 19 - £32,510.78 - Grade 5 Point 60 - £42,483.46 FTE (Actual Salary: £9,753.23 - £12,745.04)FTE/Hours & Weeks:0.3 FTEContract Type:Fixed term till 4th April 2025About the RoleHSDC is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of English Literature (A-Level) to ensure outstanding success and progression through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment.This opportunity will suit someone with a passion for both the subject and for student success. The postholder must be self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to inspire our students.Responsibilities You will be responsible for:
- Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
- To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
- To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
- To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
- To attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.
Requirements You will need:
- Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
- High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area
- At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
- Degree in relevant subject (Desirable)
