What you will do?

Those with previous Lecturing experience will have a track record of excellence in assessing and teaching that will allow you to deliver Brickwork to fulltime learners and apprentices. You yourself will be qualified in Bricklaying to Level 3 or above and you will have the industry experience that allows you to contextualise you’re teaching with specific examples. You will also be able to evidence professional development that gives you currency in the sector and will hold, or be working towards, a relevant teaching or assessing qualification, or be willing to take further training to achieve this goal. The College may be able to fully fund and support you to achieve a Level 5 teaching qualification, depending on eligibility criteria.

As a Brickwork Lecturer, you will be responsible for student learning, curriculum development, pastoral care, and administration. Sharing your skills and knowledge, developing and maintaining high levels of student retention and attendance. The post involves teaching an evening class one evening per week, included in the full time hours.

This post attracts a recruitment and retention premium with a salary up to £41,323 per annum.

This is a permanent, full-time post working 37 hours per week (including one evening per week) and the starting salary will depend upon an individual’s level of experience.

All staff are expected to share this commitment. The person appointed will be required to obtain a satisfactory DBS Enhanced Disclosure.
