Lecturer in Hairdressing and Barbering - Reed : Job Details

• Annual Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 including London Weighting
• Location: West London
• Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term until 15th July 2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Lecturer in Hairdressing and Barbering. This fixed-term position is an excellent opportunity to impart your knowledge and skills to learners aged 16 and above, helping to shape their future in the hairdressing and barbering industry.

• Deliver educational programs in Hairdressing and Barbering to learners aged 16+.
• Teach courses including Level 1 Hair and Beauty, VRQ Level 2 Women's Hair and Men's Barbering, VRQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Hairdressing, Level 2 Technical Certificate in Hairdressing, Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Hairdressing, and short courses in Cutting and Styling and Barbering.
• Engage and inspire young vocational learners through dynamic teaching methods.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Develop and update course materials in line with current industry standards and practices.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.

• Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing.
• Proven experience working in the Hairdressing industry.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably with vocational learners aged 16-19.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire learners.
• Commitment to professional development and staying updated with industry trends.
