Are you a qualified solicitor or barrister with strong in-house experience? Do you enjoy working autonomously with an exceptionally interesting and varied workload?

We're seeking a strategic and commercially minded solicitor or barrister to join our legal team as a Legal Adviser. In this role you will be responsible for providing day-to-day legal advice and support to our 20+ global businesses across a wide spectrum of legal matters, so we're looking for an adaptable individual with a broad skillset! Acting as a true business partner, you will liaise with internal stakeholders up to c-suite level, advising on all the Group’s legal needs to enable our business to achieve its goals whilst protecting us from risk.

You will be joining a well established, high performing legal team with 50+ years experience across multiple sectors, so you will have access to endless learning and development opportunities to support you as you progress within your career.

Every day you will...

  • Proactively partner with all business divisions to offer timely, expert legal counsel that supports business objectives and mitigates legal risks
  • Advise our Executive leadership and Board of Directors, and input on legal reports to such audience
  • Support the oversight of and advice on litigation across the Group to minimise exposure and cost
  • Collaborate with and manage external counsel, ensuring high quality and cost-effective advice is procured
  • Support the smooth delivery of M&A transactions by working in coordination with Group stakeholders and external counsel, from due diligence to negotiations and final agreements, mitigating risks and maximising value
  • Work closely with the relevant teams to support their accountability for compliance, advise on communication with regulators and internal stakeholders in the event of a breach/other crisis management
  • Support the delivery of robust and compliant corporate governance and support the delivery of the Group’s annual insurance renewal across all lines
  • Create and implement legal policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with the Group’s goals and legal requirements
  • Deliver training programmes to the business to ensure compliance with legal frameworks

To thrive in this role, you must...

  • Be a qualified solicitor or barrister with 4-6 years PQE
  • Have strong in-house legal experience
  • Ideally have legal experience within the healthcare. life sciences or staffing and recruitment sectors (desirable)
  • Have exceptional stakeholder management skills
