Duties include:

Support CRO and VPs in general legal work and; in checking GMRAs and GMSLAs and in the negotiation of commercials with Front Office’s discussions with institutional. clients.

Support on legal matters assigned by CRO and VPs, including being:

Responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating market standard repurchase and stock lending documentation such as 1995, 2000 and 2011 GMRA, 2000 and 2010 GMSLA and related tri-party documents as well as related bespoke confirmations;

Liaising with the Credit, Treasury, Operations and Tax departments as well as sales and trading personnel in a number of regional offices;

Review of legal opinions on the netting and collateral enforceability of repo and stock lending master documentation and ability to liaise with external counsel;

Amendments, novations, terminations of master documentation;

Responding to queries on the master documentation from various departments including the front office;

Follow-up both internally and with counterparts to gather comments, information, review and ultimately complete agreements and prepare them for execution; and

Work as a team player in coordinating progress of document negotiation.

Responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating market standard repurchase and stock lending documentation such as 1995, 2000 and 2011 GMRA, 2000 and 2010 GMSLA and related tri-party documents as well as related bespoke confirmations;

 Minimum 2 years financial and commercial experience in a financial institution;

 Proven ability to review detailed legal documents with an eye for detail;

 Ability to ensure consistency across documentation and know when to escalate issues;

Understanding of the use of legal agreements in repo and funding, ability to understand complex financial documentation and a sound understanding of the financial markets as a whole is a major benefit; and

Familiarity with GMRA, GMSLA or ISDA’s suite of documentation.
