Legal Counsel
- Annual Salary: Circa £70,000 (DOE)

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. This role involves providing comprehensive legal services across commercial, contractual, construction, and compliance areas. The successful candidate will be a key member of our bi-national legal team, working on projects that impact both the UK and France. This position requires a pragmatic, experienced individual with excellent communication skills.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and approve a wide range of commercial contracts including those related to goods and services, rail-related construction, IT/IP, and marketing/advertising agreements.
- Liaise with colleagues across the business to identify legal considerations arising from day-to-day operational and commercial activities.
- Work closely with other business functions, ensuring that key stakeholders are appropriately involved and informed of progress and developments.
- Assist in bi-national work between legal team members in the UK and France.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks for the Group’s operational and commercial activities.
- Provide legal advice and recommendations on regulatory and compliance-related requirements across the Group of companies.
- Develop and implement the Group’s Data Protection and Competition law policies.
- Provide training to members of the legal team on key UK legal issues and risks and arrange training for colleagues across our business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- UK-qualified solicitor/barrister with 4+ years PQE.
- Experience in both private practice and in-house legal roles dealing with corporate, commercial, and regulatory-related issues.
- Fluent in English; fluency in French is highly desirable but not essential.
- Strong ability to work closely with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
