I am currently recruiting for a legal secretary to join a fantastic organisation in Leamington Spa on a temporary basis. This role is vital for maintaining high levels of efficiency and confidentiality. You will support solicitors and other professional staff by managing a variety of administrative and secretarial tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide full support to solicitors to enable them to operate efficiently.
- Create and amend legal documents with high accuracy.
- Handle and manage telephone calls, visitors, and enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Prepare correspondence using our case management system.
- Administer filing systems, including daily filing and the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
- Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch.
- Arrange the scanning and photocopying of paperwork.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as required, ensuring compliance with quality standards and the firm’s policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of working within a Residential Conveyancing department.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and undertake searches, ID checks, and other work on files without dictation.
- High levels of speed and accuracy in document handling.
- Good telephone manner and comfort in speaking with clients both on the telephone and in person.
- Highly organised, methodical, and adaptable to varying tasks.
- Proficiency in audio typing is essential.
