Level 4 Teaching Assistant - Special Needs

Reed Education Birmingham is working in partnership with a Special Needs School based in Nottingham to recruit a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child who has an eating and drinking sensory disorder. In this vital role, you will support children on a one-to-one, fostering a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate closely with other staff members and the SENDco to support children, the majority of whom have EHC plans.
- Provide individualised assistance to enhance student learning and development.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining a positive educational setting tailored to the needs of SEND students.
- Work with the school team to implement effective teaching strategies and behaviour management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience in supporting children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with staff, students, and parents.
