LGV 1 European Fine Art Driver - First Choice Staff : Job Details

Our client is looking for a permanent LGV 1 Driver to deliver Fine Art and Antiques in the Uk and Europe

Duties:Handling and packing of various types of fine art and furniture and securing in truck for safe transport

Installation/De-Installation of various fine art and furniturePicking up and delivering a variety of artworks including paintings, sculptures and high value furniture of all descriptionsDriving a truck, locally and long distance between cities and around EuropeInspecting artworks to determine how, where, when, or if to touch them and how to pack for transportUnderstand how to properly wrap, load, span, tie in artworks within a truck to keep them safe and stable during transportEfficiently handling paperwork including bills of lading, labelling, timesheets and detailed condition reports with photosCommunicating with clientsCommunicating with operations team throughout the day The ideal candidate will have the ability to contribute to working in a small team and a willingness to learn. The right candidate will have the following:Clean driving recordBe physically fit and have the ability to work comfortably on ladders, scaffolding and/or mechanized liftsProfessional appearance and demeanourClass 1 LGV licence Willingness to work around Europe Willingness to spend nights away for longer tripsSome knowledge/experience handling high end goods would be advantageousOvertime and night away payment available, alongside the opportunity to grow within an exciting and expanding international company.
