About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 8a Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team on a locum basis in Swansea. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in providing expert pharmaceutical advice to clinical teams within a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment. The position is ideal for a pharmacist with experience in cancer services looking to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced clinical pharmacy support and expert pharmaceutical advice to multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Work closely with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medications.
Lead on the review and development of cancer-related medication guidelines and protocols.
Contribute to clinical decision-making regarding oncology and haematology treatment plans.
Ensure the safe and effective management of cancer treatment regimens, including chemotherapy.
Support the training and development of junior pharmacists and other healthcare staff as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Experience: Previous experience working in cancer services (oncology/haematology) is required.
Qualifications: Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Skills: Strong clinical knowledge in cancer therapies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
