GBR Recruitment Ltd are proudly working exclusively with a well established & progressive manufacturing company in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire recruiting for an experienced Logistics & Customer Services Coordinator, to control all Import & Export activities working closely with the freight forwarders to plan inbound deliveries of raw materials & some finished goods (from the sub-contracted Contract Manufacturer) to the Wellingborough Manufacturing site.
In this key combined Logistics & Customer Service role, you will ensure raw materials for production arrive on time in full & also that outbound freight of finished manufactured goods arrive at the end using customers sites OTIF (required order quantity, to the required quality at the required delivery date / time).
Ideally you will have strong Logistics, strong Customer Service, strong Shipping & Customs experience, plus be highly familiar in using ERP systems.
Duties:
- Supervise the activities of the administration assistant to ensure data entered into the logistics ERP system is accurate & correct.
- Successfully managing all inbound & outbound container movements - for both import & export. Negotiating effectively with freight forwarders, ensuring all required paperwork is up to date so that shipments can be processed in a timely manner. Including liaising with inter company departments to make sure all containers are covered.
- Liaising with customers to ensure all booked delivery slots for finished goods are adhered to, along with dealing with any issues that may arise.
- Responsibility for customs paperwork, invoice sign off & any other paperwork as required (POD's, PO's, Certificates of Authenticity, Declarations etc.).
- Overseeing all aspects of the customer service experience, ensuring all customer orders / deliveries reach them OTIF, plus implementing effective processes & procedures to deliver a Gold Standard customer experience.
- Successfully setting up shipping & distribution networks, in order to meet customers specific needs & in line with business strategies.
- Reviewing invoices, investigating any discrepancies, along with authorising supplier payments.
- Liaising with all key operational areas including manufacturing, dispatch, warehouse, sales, finance & others, plus liaising with external customers & suppliers on a day to day basis, in order to keep supply chain flowing.
- Analysing stock delivery / logistics data & compiling accurate shipment / stock reports for the senior management team (MI / KPI's).
Attributes Required:
- Strong in Logistics, knowledge of Import & Export / Freight / Customs
- Strong in Logistics / Distribution Planning (Routes & Networks)
- Transport Planning experience (Inbound & Outbound)
- Customer Service experience, strong liaising with Customers.
- Strong with ERP Systems (SAP, Navision, SAGE or similar).
- Strong effective communicator.
- Strong administration skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP).
- Experienced in managing / supervising one other person.
