Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to announce that we are working on a retained basis with a global leading lift manufacturer TK Elevator to appoint a site based Logistics Manager on a 12-14 month Fixed Term Contract.

Overview of the role:Overall management of the logistics labourers team. Issue instruction to and monitor logistics labourers in day-to-day material handling tasks in a safe and secure way. Co-ordinate and control the movement of materials into site and TKE secure storage floor and to points around site for installation through the direction of the logistics team members. Liaise with the installation team, site manager and project manager for forward planning of materials requirements whilst considering current site material levels. Liaise with the installation supervisors on compound material call-offs and co-ordinate logistics labourers on movement of materials workface access point. Install team then then take responsibility from this pint into lift demise. Accommodate requests for TKE sub-contract packages, giving equal measure of importance to delivery slots, storage allocation and logistics operatives movement to works point. To schedule delivery slots via the Datascope booking system, for delivery slots and hoist time (for clearance of delivered materials from the pit lanes). On agreeing slots, call off materials via TKE’s off-site logistics contractor. Maintain TKE’s main 'lift materials logistics planning document’ at all stages from call-off through delivery, storage and final release to point of lift installation workface access. Maintain the general security of the TKE compound (majority of level 5 secured with perimeter fencing and lockable gates) plus plant and tool sheds located inside the secured perimeter. Ensure that at the end of the day through sweep of the compound that the perimeter and sheds are secured and internal cameras operational. Ideally Logistics Manager / Lead shall also hold a Slinger / Signaller qualification or being willing to obtain one. It is likely that they shall be responsible for all 'on the hook’ connections of slings before offloading based on clients recent requirements. Further they may be site trained by client in the operation of the loading bay Davit Crane.

Duties are but not limited to:• Overall management of the logistics labourers team. Team between 2 and 4 labourers depending on phases of installation works. • Liaise with the project team for forward planning of materials requirements • Monitor material requests in line with available space within TKE compound • Liaise with the project team on material call-offs from the compound to point of installation access (from this point installer move it into the lift and shaft demise) • Direct and coordinate logistics labourers on movement of materials workface access point. • Direct and coordinate the movement of materials into site and to TKE compound from delivery offload point (pit lane) • monitor logistics labourers in day-to-day material handling tasks in a safe and secure way • Schedule delivery slots via Datascope booking system (for delivery slots and hoist time) • On agreeing slots and Datascope booking, call off materials via TKE’s off-site logistics contractor • Additionally, TKE sub-contract packages for delivery slots, storage allocation & logistics operatives movement to works point. • Maintain TKE’s main 'lift materials logistics planning document’ at all stages from call-off through delivery, storage and final release to point of lift installation workface access • Attend daily logistics meetings (normally at end of the day on most projects in preparation for following day) • Maintain the general security of the TKE compound plus plant and tool sheds throughout the day • Conduct end of day security sweep that compound sheds are secured & cameras operational • Ideally be a holder a Slinger / Signaller qualification or being willing to obtain one • Shall be responsible for all 'on the hook’ connections of slings before offloading by Hiab or Davit crane. • May be required to be site trained by client in the operation of the loading bay Davit Crane

Requirements:• Be a CSCS card holder • Ideally be a Slinger / Signaller Card Holder. Preferred if they were. • Ideally a qualified AP (Appointed Person) but desirable not essential.• Doesn’t require any lift knowledge but must have a good level construction site experience • Demonstrable experience managing general site logistics including the management and direction of other operatives • Needs to be a strong confident character, a team player but also be self motivated
