Logistics Team Leader 

Cheltenham – Fulltime – Days - Permanent – Salary up to £36,000

The Role:

·        Leading a team of 10+ warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are assigned effectively to keep operations running smoothly.

·        Overseeing end-to-end logistics—from goods receipt to despatch—hitting key performance targets every step of the way.

·        Championing safety and compliance, conducting inspections, and investigating any incidents to maintain a safe workplace.

·        Driving efficiency and improvement through SOPs, training, and regular team briefings.

·        Coaching, developing, and appraising team members to bring out their best.

·        Stepping up in the absence of the Area Manager to ensure seamless operations.

·        Collaborating with other departments to keep workflows smooth and effective.

The Person:

·        Proven leadership in a fast-moving logistics, warehouse, or FMCG environment.

·        A customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

·        The ability to communicate clearly and give constructive feedback to your team.

·        Commercial awareness and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

·        Experience with MRP systems and basic Microsoft Office skills.

·        A solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations and risk assessments.

·        Bonus: Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and project management.
