THE ROLE
We're seeking a skilled and motivated M&E Technician to work on innovative environmental remediation projects. You'll be involved in hands-on tasks like installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems. Your role will require a mix of physical work, problem-solving, and project management. Expect to spend time both onsite across the UK/Europe and in our Bristol workshop – 50 / 50%.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical:
- Confidently read electrical schematics and use a multimeter to diagnose and repair faults.
- Safely isolate and replace faulty components.
- Work with various 3-phase equipment and inverters/drives.
- Configure and calibrate VSDs
Desirable:
- Troubleshoot and program PLC systems.
- Understand and utilize machine & instrument networks.
Mechanical:
- Interpret schematic drawings to identify and rectify mechanical issues.
- Repair and replace components in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including solenoids, valves, and actuators.
- Utilize various fitting techniques.
Site Work:
- Travel to various sites within the UK and Europe.
- Work on a variety of water treatment & soil and groundwater remediation projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Implement cost-effective solutions to improve system reliability and safety.
- Install and commission plant and systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Proven experience in industrial or similar environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Willingness to travel.
