Full-time, 40-hours per week, temporary to permanent.

Working Afternoon Shifts: 2pm Start, Monday to Friday.

Hourly Pay Rate: £11.44to £13.91 (Depending on Experience).

You will come into the business as an experienced machine operator with relevant transferable skills in production.

We will train and develop your career path to cover multiple production machines, processes, procedures, and knowledge, so that you become an integral part of the business’s success.

Your initial 12-week working trial will build your basic knowledge and understanding. Once you are signed off you will receive a pay review and additional responsibilities / duties and advance to the next level. We will offer continuous developed and training which will offer financial rewards at every step.

Saturdays are classed as overtime and paid at time and a half.

Bank holidays worked replaced with time off in lieu.

Shift Patterns For a New Starter:

• First Week Induction Training Could Potentially Be: 06:00am – 14:15pm, Monday to Friday.
• Afternoon Shifts Once Induction Training week Completed: 14:00pm – 22:15pm, Monday – Friday
• Potential Night Shifts Available in 2025 (if Wanted): 22:00pm - 06:00am, Monday – Friday*

Once you are trained and confident then you may be required to support the machine operations team in other shifts if you are able to.

*Potential of shift changes next year, moving to a working week of Sunday – Thursday, (no date for this to take effect).

Career Progression and Financials:

• In your first trial / induction week you will be on £11.44ph.
• From week two your hourly rate will increase to £12.81 minimum.
• If you have pasteurization experience, hourly rate will increase to £13.91ph.

The hourly rates above after week 1 will include an uplift for working the afternoon shift. These pay rates are not set in stone and can increase during your 12-week working trial, if you are able to prove you are reliable and have relevant food production and machine operating experience, as well as pasteurization, there is also an assessment and pay review after 12-weeks, based on progression and career development.

Duties:

• Working on food production machines.
• Following written instructions on daily work sheets.
• Lifting, carrying, and handling products up to 25KG.
• Movement of product around factory automation lines.
• Quality checking and following precise instructions.
• Working in a strict health and safety environment.
• Ensuring all food production machines run efficiently and effectively.
• Managing any production challenges, machine errors and daily production tasks.
• Wearing all required PPE, adhering to all food safety standards.

This opportunity is based near Winchester and offers free onsite parking, along with lots of other employee benefits and rewards.

Due to the rural location, late working hours, and lack of reliable public transport links, you will need your own car, motorbike, scooter, or bike to get to and from work every day.
