Machine Operative - 24-7 Recruitment Services Ltd : Job Details

We are recruiting for a Machine operative to join our customers based in Burton on Trent who manufactures a range of concrete roof tiles and upvc fittings and accessories for pitched roofing across the UK.

As an Production Operative, you will be part of a successful team who are committed to Customer satisfaction . This is a critical role within the operation, and directly contributes towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and operation.

Hours and Pay for a Machine Operative:

• 48 hours per week 6 - 6 AM and PM Shift
• £13.45 per hour incl shift allowance.
• 2 x 20 min paid break
• Rotating shifts so must be flexible.

Key Responsibilities for a machine operative:

• Working on a variety of machines - Mixer, extruder, automated racking, automated packer/wrapper
• Working at wet end where cement is first mixed and paint end where tiles are painted and need quality checking.
• Quality control and health and safely hugely important

Skills for a machine Operative:

• Preferably someone with a mechanical or industrial manufacturing background
• Huge potential for progression
• Good GCSEs
• Career driven as this is a temp-perm job.
• Previous experience working in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Well motivated with a can do attitude.
• Willingness to be flexible and to take on and learn new tasks.
• Confident, assertive and polite individual capable of building good working relationships with staff.
• Good time management and punctuality.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be able to use initiative and work with and without work instruction.
