I’m searching for a Macro Strategist/Assistant PM for a top-tier multi-asset hedge fund based in London. The successful candidate will contribute to both the research and execution of macro strategies, with a focus on fixed income, FX, and emerging markets. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a blend of macroeconomic insight and quantitative modelling expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse global and emerging market trends, identifying potential investment opportunities through deep macroeconomic research.
- Build and maintain econometric models to predict asset price movements, volatility, and interest rate shifts.
- Generate trade ideas by monitoring key economic indicators, including yield curves, credit spreads, and inflation.
- Assist portfolio managers in developing and refining strategies that align with market conditions.
- Evaluate risks and provide continuous market analysis, making real-time adjustments to portfolio positions.
- Prepare and deliver insights and recommendations to the investment team, contributing to portfolio construction.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5-6 years of experience in macro strategy, either in a hedge fund, asset management firm, or investment banking role.
- Expertise in global macroeconomics, particularly in fixed income and FX markets.
- Strong quantitative background with experience in data analysis, forecasting, and building econometric or machine learning models.
- Proficient with Python, R, or similar analytical tools, and familiar with Bloomberg/Reuters.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex macro trends.
