Electrician

Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Electrical Maintenance Services: You will perform a variety of electrical work across the site, including installations, maintenance, and repairs of systems and fixtures. Your tasks will range from lamp and socket changes to more complex duties like LED upgrade programs and installing new external lights.
- Safety and Compliance: Regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems are crucial. You will ensure all installations comply with current regulations and safety standards.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, providing efficient solutions. You’ll be responsible for everything from meter reading to maintaining emergency lighting systems.
- Collaboration and Reporting: Work alongside other tradespeople and manage communications with contractors to ensure timely completion of projects. You’ll also keep detailed records of your work, including maintenance logs and inspection reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Certifications: Must be an approved Electrician with an ECS Gold card. Additional qualifications like 2382-22 Level 3 and 18th Edition are essential, with 2391-52 Inspection & Testing being highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience in handling LV electrical distribution systems, lighting installations, and both single and 3-phase equipment. Familiarity with PPM, reactive, and remedial maintenance is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of BS7671 wiring regulations, and proficiency in using IT systems such as Excel, Outlook, and CAFM.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, adaptability to various challenges, and a results-driven attitude.
