Maintenance Engineer - Meridian Business Support : Job Details

Industrial ElectricianThe Company:A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Electrician OR Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician with experience of working in an industrial, manufacturing, production or engineering environment.  Your role will be as a maintenance engineer ideally working a 3 shift rota (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am).  You will work within a great team environment within one of Exeter largest facilities in a diverse role.  Job Responsibilities:

• Minimise production downtime by trouble shooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences on a variety of Electrical and Mechanical equipment, and can be exposed to mechanical ones too.
• Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
• Use a Maintenance Management System carry out preventative/ planned maintenance work.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to all EHS Company policies.
• Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent.
• Demonstrated proficiency in industrial maintenance and fault finding. on electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
• Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical and /or mechanical diagrams as well as fault finding in control panels and on industrial systems.
• Experience in any of the following will be advantageous: PLC’s, Fabrication, Welding, Vacuum Technology.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications would be an advantage.
• Resilient, resourceful approach, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
