Maintenance Man Job - Maidstone Howard Finley Care is recruiting for a new Maintenance Man to work within our client's nursing home in Maidstone.

Maintenance Man Vacancy Details:

• £14 per hour
• 40 hours per week available
• 8am - 4pm
• Day shifts available

Maintenance Man Main Duties:

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs throughout the nursing home to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.
• Carry out scheduled inspections and assessments of equipment, fixtures, and the building's overall condition.
• Address urgent repair requests promptly, including plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep tasks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain records of inspections and repairs.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of the home's maintenance plan.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure minimal disruption to residents during maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and replenish stock for maintenance supplies and equipment.

Requirements for the Maintenance Man Role:

• Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably in a care or nursing home setting.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• A proactive approach to maintaining safety standards and preventing potential hazards.
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor to work effectively in a team and interact with residents.
