Job Description :

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planning, organising, and directing maintenance activities across 3 sites, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout. This position will lead a team of Engineers and Technicians across 4 sites, working closely alongside colleagues within the operational department.

This Maintenance Manager appointment is taking over from a long serving incumbent who will be retiring within the next few months so there will be a good handover period between you. Due to the size of the business this role will suit someone who is capable of managing a team, but is also not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Description

  • To lead, manage and develop the existing Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers and Technicians across 4 local sites.
  • Organise PPMs, proactive and reactive maintenance strategies suitable to meet business demands.
  • Ensuring daily/weekly/monthly inspections are carried out and defects are reported as required.
  • Coordinate the installation of new equipment and oversee upgrades or modifications.
  • To ensure upgrade works, preventative and planned maintenance activities are performed to the highest standards, whether by employees or contractors.
  • Ensuring that all operations take place with health and safety protocols in mind.

Profile

The successful Maintenance Manager will have:

  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Experience in managing multi-skilled engineering teams in an industrial / heavy engineering environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Hands-on approach where required.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritise accordingly.
