Purpose of the Role
To provide planned preventative & reactive maintenance on various assets internally and externally to ensure statutory compliance and to provide a safe and welcoming environment for stake holders and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and assist with planned preventative & reactive maintenance on various assets internally and externally as instructed by the Management team and specified on CAFM application. Working on your own or as part of a team as directed.
- Assist the Centre Management team in maintaining and promoting a positive health and safety culture with compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and adopting all company policies and procedures, promoting best practice and clean working environment.
- Carry out and accurately document (L8) legionella water temperature monitoring at Merry Hill and associated sundry properties as detailed in water management plan.
- To liaise and work with specialist contractors as instructed by Centre Management team.
- To assist and be involved in continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives for the Merry Hill and sundry properties.
- Assist in the preparation and gathering of asset information.
- Carry out and accurately document utility meter readings e.g., electric, gas, water at Merry Hill and associated sundry properties
- Visual and functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm, emergency lighting, smoke curtains)
- Ensure all contractors are working too Merry Hill guidelines and working safely within the centre.
- To be available to cover the centre out of trading hours, on a rota basis.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- We are seeking someone with proven experience in maintenance in building services skill sets or proficient in DIY.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to prioritise, respond and adopt a positive approach to all allocated tasks
- Able to work under pressure and too strict deadlines.
- Process good work ethics
Must be a team Player & maintain good working relationships with fellow team members and wider teams.
Proven communication and interpersonal skills to all levels with good Written and Verbal skill
- Resourceful, innovative thinker.
- Ability to listen and a willingness to learn.
- Utmost discretion when dealing with all sensitive and confidential information.
- Flexible working pattern – shift work, weekends, bank holidays and overtime when required.

- Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft word and use of email
Working Hours - 40hrs – 3 week shift rota inclusive of weekend and BH
