Location: White Windows Care Home, Fore Lane, Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX6 1BH

Rate Of Pay: £11.55 - £12 Per Hour

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hrs a Week, Full time, Permanent

Information about the Role:

Working as a Maintenance person at White Windows your duties will include the following:

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
• Taking apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues as necessary.
• Using common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.

Information about the Service:

White Windows is a wheelchair accessible residential home providing support and accommodation for up to 25 individuals who have a physical disability or neurological condition.

We support individuals who may have cerebral palsy, an acquired brain injury or stroke, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida or hydrocephalus, as well as individuals living with Parkinson’s or Huntington’s Diseases.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

• Someone who has a real passion for maintenance and high-quality work.
• Proven maintenance experience.
• Must be a Driver with a Current and Valid Driving License.
• Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
• Have the right to the work in the UK.
• Good working knowledge of industry legislation and safe practices.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Halifax, HX6 1BH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
