Maintenance Supervisor Mech Bias - Baltic Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our longstanding manufacturing client with their search for a Day Shift Maintenance Supervisor(Mech Bias).

Key Duties:

• Report directly to the Engineering Manager.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Report any unsafe acts or situations.
• Apply safe techniques of isolation using LOTO procedure.
• Deliver toolbox talks to engineering staff.
• Overseeing the engineering maintenance department.
• Direct control over 6 maintenance engineers.
• Monitor and control engineering stocks.
• Ensuring all PPM's carried out in a timely manner.
• Ensuring all breakdown are dealt with as and when they occur.
• Overseeing machinery installation and relocation.
• Process and machine improvements.

Key Requirements:

• Time-served engineer, strong mechanical bias.
• Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship experience in engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory experience.
• Flexible and pro-active approach to workloads and duties.
• Good inter-personal and team working skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety within maintenance role.
• Good timekeeping and attendance record.
• Computer literate.
• Multi-Skilled background with appropriate training and qualifications is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience of high speed rotating machinery.
• Experience of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of workplace organisation tools (e.g. 5S).

The Package:

• £44,500 per annum.
• Day shift role, 40 hrs per week.
