Management Accountant - Axon Moore Group Ltd : Job Details

|£40K to £50k | Enhanced Benefits | 1pm Friday Finish | Manufacturing| On-Site Role | Axon Moore has partnered with a leading global manufacturer based in the Wirral, which is in search of an ambitious Management AccountantIn this role, you will be reporting directly to a supportive Financial Controller while overseeing and providing guidance to the Finance Administrator. This role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement - the chance to progress to a Financial Controller title.You could be on the pathway to completing CIMA or ACCA or you may already be qualified. Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly management accounts per US GAAP, including journals, reconciliations, and overhead analysis.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee inter-company invoicing and reconcile group balances.
• Maintain standard costs for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Report production variances.
• Implement changes to resolve costing or process issues with the production team.
• Monitor costs against budgets and investigate variances.
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Produce quarterly VAT returns.
• Support the Financial Controller.
• Manage and guide the Finance Administrator.

The Candidate:

• CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.
• Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of cost and project accounting.
• Experience in deadline-driven environments.
• Accurate with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Excellent IT skills, especially in MS Excel.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced, changing business.
• Experience in new systems implementations is a plus.
• Suitable for those aiming to become a Financial Controller.
