In this role, you will:

• Streamline and enhance the finance business partnering role, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
• Manage your own calendar, including monthly meetings and quarterly face-to-face visits to various business units.
• Participate in a structured monthly timetable with Monday morning meetings, focusing on monthly reporting, including accruals and prepayments.
• Provide insightful, risk-based commentary and reports, engaging with budget holders to review performance, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure timely and accurate financial data.
• Oversee and support the financial administrators across six business areas, ensuring centralised reporting and smooth transition during the ongoing system change.

Offering mostly remote working, but requiring occasional travel across the West Midlands and East of England, this opportunity is ideal for somebody looking to have independence over their calendar and business partner with a variety of stakeholders.

Person Specification:

• Part-qualified or above; public sector experience preferred.
• Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and ideally Power BI; keen interest in dashboard and trend analysis development.
• Extensive Finance Business Partnering experience, including monthly reporting and stakeholder management; capable of independently owning and developing the role.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, value-driven attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
