Management Accountant (3 Months Contract)GlasgowSalary up to £45k (DOE)

Join our service sector client on a 3-month fixed term contract basis, as a 'Management Accountant’. Our client is looking for an immediately available Accountant with strong financial systems and management accounting skills to support their finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, your main responsibilities will include:

• Creating a Management Information System with support of the Finance Director.
• Generating weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Setting up a budgetary control system with support of the Finance Director.
• Such systems will allow you to focus on actual vs budget, forecasting, as well as variance analysis and corresponding commentary.
• Preparing the management accounts pack
• Supporting with any ad hoc projects /cost analysis.

This role is suitable for an accountant (CIMA or suitably qualified by experience) with excellent financial systems skills, as well as the ability to be able to fulfil typical month end tasks, including the preparation of the monthly management accounts. Applicants will have strong Microsoft Excel and analysis skills to also be able to understand the meaning behind the numbers they have produced.
