Job Description:We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Loughborough for a maternity cover position. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be a vital contributor, responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts for submission to the Board of Directors
• Conduct analytical reviews of financial data and present findings to the management team
• Collaborate with external auditors to produce annual statutory accounts
• Collate weekly and monthly payroll data for submission to a third-party payroll provider
• Develop and enhance financial controls and procedures
• Maintain and reconcile the balance sheet, including fixed asset registers
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and annual P11Ds and PSA returns to HMRC
• Conduct monthly cost centre reviews
• Provide support to the Financial Controller as required

Experience Required:Essential:

• Recognized UK Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• 2-3 years of recent experience in a similar role
• Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills

Desirable:

• Experience with Dynamics 365
