Position: Management AccountantLocation: Hybrid - Chapman Way, Tunbridge Wells (2 days week on site) Reporting to: Financial Controller

Role Purpose:As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for all internal reporting related to revenue, cost of sales (COS), and margin analysis. You will provide accurate historical financial analysis, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and ensure the integrity of financial data for VisionTrack. This role demands a meticulous approach to financial control, investigating variances, and delivering insightful commentary to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain monthly control schedules and post journal adjustments for accrued/deferred revenue.
  • Regularly review and analyse COS, ensuring alignment with revenue recognition.
  • Perform profitability and margin analysis across all revenue channels, providing detailed commentary against budget/forecast.
  • Reconcile monthly stock balances, ensuring provisions for obsolete stock are accurately maintained.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the production of quarterly Board packs by providing KPI and revenue analysis.
  • Conduct monthly financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide weekly KPI analysis and dashboard metrics to senior management, including MRR growth and churn.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly flash results and month-end analysis in line with Group reporting deadlines.
  • Support the year-end statutory audit process by preparing audit files and documentation.
  • Deputise for the Financial Controller when required, approving day-to-day transactions and journals.
  • Develop and implement robust processes and controls to manage financial risks in line with Group requirements.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High numerical confidence with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Confident in liaising with senior management and stakeholders.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Solid experience with ERP and finance systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
  • Commercially astute with good business acumen.
  • Experience working within a global organisation or Group structure is desirable.
