Management Accountant (Full time or reduced hours)

Based: Bury

Salary: up to £40k dependent on experience + benefits

Hours - 37.5 a week but can consider 4 days also

Our client is a well-established, well-known business in the Bury area. Due to maternity leave, we are looking for a Management Accountant to join the team on a 12 month FTC (possible extension) to facilitate a good handover. You will get the chance to work in a great business, working within a long-standing finance team

Role:

• Producing management accounts for review from Financial Controller
• Producing P&L with analytical notes
• Fixed asset register, depreciation journals
• Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
• Dealing with queries regarding finance/month end
• Reconciliations & general ledger work
• Analysing final set of accounts, comparing to prior months highlighting inconsistences/anomalies that need investigating
• Year end - assisting with queries from auditors
• Quarterly VAT returns, calculating and submitting VAT return

Experience:

• QBE, AAT or qualified / part-qualified
• Experience producing management accounts is essential
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Forward thinking, able to use initiative to dive into numbers and query
