Management Accountant - Peterborough - Attractive package
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Management Accountant for our market leading client based in the Peterborough area.
This role is to cover Maternity leave with the potential to go permanent.
Management Accountant - duties:
- Quarterly Management Account - liaise with external accountants to produce financial reports for managers and business owners to examine the financial health of the organization.
- High-level financial figures - review of weekly P&L results and preparation of commentary for senior management to give an insight into business performance.
- Business Overview - provide and analyze information for forecasting revenues, expenses, and profit for the upcoming year.
- MISC/Facilities cost - review data to provide a monthly report on income and cost of projects for senior management.
- Control and preparation of general ledger entries including prepayments, accruals, deferred income, and allocations.
- Banking - process day-to-day bank transactions, HMRC payments, Dividends, and Subcontractor/ Supplier payments.
- Cashflow monitoring - administrate and manage cash inflows and outflows.
- VAT Return submission - analyze and reconcile the VAT ledger for return submission. Submit VAT returns quarterly to HMRC.
- Maintain and reconcile control documents, including asset ledger, cash book, nominal, and bank reconciliation.
- Supplier Invoices - processing Purchase Ledger invoices via Auto Entry, following up with vendors, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Sage accounts- review and manage account information and run daily backups. Check data integrity, and fix data errors when required.
- Direct line management of the Accounts Administrator and Accounts Assistant. Support with generic accountancy tasks. Managing specific issues as and when they occur.
- Assisting with answering phone calls throughout the day as necessary and transferring the calls to the appropriate people or taking messages. Answering any queries or questions where needed.
- Ad hoc tasks - performing additional tasks as required.
- Review processes; offering and implementing improvements.
