Eaton Syalon are working with an exciting high growth business in Derbyshire to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Management Accountant to join their team. Our clients business is fast paced and as Management Accountant your role will be to collaborate closely with business operations leaders across different locations with ownership of the management accounts, ledgers, and management information reporting for a core part of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Prepare and post monthly journals, trial balances, and month-end packs.
• Monitor and analyse overhead spend against budget, forecasts, and prior year.
• Assist with variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide inputs to annual budgets, reforecasting, and periodic flash forecasts.
• Maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts.
• Assist with year-end statutory accounts, business case preparation, and future ERP implementation
• Manage company bank balances and prepare electronic bank payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure mandates are up to date.
• Maintain cashbook, purchase ledger, fixed asset register, and working capital.
• Reconcile gross margin and stock reports to ledger balances.
• Provide input for weekly flash reports and process expense claims.

We are keen to talk to part, or fully qualified Management Accountants with experience gained in a varied Management Accounting role previously. You will need strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, experience with ERP systems and well developed MS Excel skills. This role is commercially focused so your ability to partner closely with senior stakeholders is important as well as the ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
