A part qualified Management Accountant is being recruited for a fast growing manufacturing business based in Lancaster.

Description

As Management Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the accountancy function in all month end reporting and analysis, which includes:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L analysis
• Preparation of annual budgets including variance analysis for sales and costs
• Cash flow forecasting
• Production of KPI reports on costs such as labour and materials
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintenance of product costings, ensuring systems are maintained too
• Stock management and carrying out stock takes on a monthly basis
• Purchase price variances and analysing usage
• Support with annual audits, ONS etc
• Business partnering with all areas of the business to drive performance, make suggestions for cost saving opportunities

Profile

The successful applicant to the Management Accountant must have the following skills and experience:

• Part qualified CIMA/ACCA although candidates qualified by experience will be considered
• Ideally someone from a manufacturing background, with experience of stock control and costings
• Strong reporting skills and good with Excel
• Excellent communication skills and able to challenge and influence
• Flexible to the changing demands of the business
• Full understanding of the accountancy function
