Job Description :

Orka Financial is working with national, privately owned construction firm based in Uxbridge to recruit a management accountant. This is a brand new position that will have the opportunity to drive change and improve processes within the finance function. The management accountant will take ownership of month end activities whilst combining this with commercial analysis and business partnering activities.Responsibilities:• Actively participate in a project to improve the financial performance of certain business divisions.• Assist in the preparation of a model to propose appropriate asset disposals.• Preparation of monthly management accounts for Group and business units.• Preparation and reconciliation of accruals, prepayments and allocations.• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes.• Manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, including preparing recs and resolving reconciling items proactively in a timely manner.• Control the inter-company process including reconciliations and the timely resolution of any differences.• Assist with the returns to the Office for National Statistics.• Preparation and posting of journals into the financial accounting system• Assist with the month end closing process ensuring the ledger balances are complete and accurate.• Investigation and resolution of accounts queries and variances.• Liaison with other departments and sections of the businesses, providing cost analyses and answering queries as required.• Assist with external audit deliverables.• Be proactive in developing new systems to meet the changing needs of the department.Profile:- Finalist or qualified ACCA,CIMA,ACA- Excellent communication skills- Strong IT/systems knowledge- Commercially aware with the ability to communicate complex financial information across various departments- Desire to problem solve and seek improvementsSalary:£55,000 - £60,000 + benefits
