Management Accountant - BAYMAN ATKINSON SMYTHE LIMITED : Job Details

Are you a talented and detail-oriented finance professional seeking your next career opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 based in North Manchester, near motorway links, this is an onsite position.

Role Summary:

The Management Accountant will play a key role in preparing, analysing, and reporting financial information to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of management accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Accurate and timely reporting using Group reporting tools
• Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on  project costs and gross margins
• P&L reporting and monthly sales forecasts.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and detailed cost recovery processing
• Managing FX forward contracts and ensuring compliance with hedge accounting policies

Your Profile:

• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a Management/Cost Accountant role. Experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous
• Education: A professional accounting qualification is desirable, but equivalent experience will also be considered
• Skills:
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP systems 
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
• Availability: Able to start ASAP
