Management Accountant - Reed : Job Details

• Annual Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
• Location: Southend (with some travel to London) - office based
• Job Type: Full-time

Reed Finance are supporting our client, who are seeking a fully qualified Management Accountant to join our team. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in management or financial accounting within a commercial setting or a chartered accountancy firm. The successful candidate will be involved in both management and financial accounting tasks, working closely with various teams to support and drive financial performance.

• Management Accounting:
  • Liaise with sales, sourcing, and operations teams to prepare sales & margin reports and sales forecasts.
  • Maintain costing sheets for products and prepare a weekly purchase order log.
  • Review periodical stock reports, monitor stock usage, and ensure efficient use of stocks and warehouse spaces.
• Financial Accounting:
  • Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounts and ensure compliance with bank and brand owner requirements.
  • Conduct variance analysis of operating expenses and collaborate with functional managers to take corrective actions.
  • Prepare weekly and quarterly cash flow statements.

• Fully qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in management or financial accounting.
• Proficiency in using SAGE 200 or equivalent accounting packages and ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with non-financial managers.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
