Management Accountant - Orka Financial : Job Details

Orka Financial is working with a rapidly growing, acquisitive technology business based on the outskirts of Slough to recruit for a Management Accountant. The Management Accountant will have an intimate knowledge with both how the numbers get created and how the key dynamics in the business work to understand business performance. As part of a growing company the management has the potential to have a critical role in shaping how we support this growth from Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the creation of the monthly financial statements for the designated entities in an accurate, timely and efficient way. This includes balance sheet reconciliations, posting journal entries and analysis of key accounts.• Build an in-depth understanding of our business and processes and provide unique insight into the numbers;• Preparation of the related statutory accounts and tax compliance• Help drive process improvements with the mindset of continuous improvement, with a focus on efficiency through automation and successful adoption of Sage X3 functionality;• Working with external accountants to file statutory documents and ensure compliance• VAT filing• Audit work

Profile:

• Newly or Part-qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA)• Previous experience in a similar role• Excellent understanding of international accounting and finance processes such as month-end and year-end practices• Excellent attention to detail• Hardworking with a drive to meet targets• Advanced Excel Skills

Salary:

£50,000 - £55,000 + bonus + benefits
