A leading professional services firm is looking to recruit a Management and Systems Accountant to join finance team in London on a Part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong focus on financial systems and systems accounting, offering a great opportunity to contribute to the operational services, compliance work, and management and financial reporting of the firm.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide support for project work related to financial systems, particularly focusing on the firm’s business in France and other locations.
  • Manage and participate in system upgrade testing and assist in the development of custom reporting and processing systems alongside our Technology team.
  • Support the Head of Finance and Financial Controller in preparing management and budgetary information, including commentary, within required deadlines.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual accounts and the analysis of general ledger accounts for taxation purposes.
  • Conduct general reconciliation work and provide additional reporting services as required by senior management.
  • Act as a liaison with the Technology team to progress reporting and systems project-related works.
  • Respond to specific queries from stakeholders to help them better understand their financial information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Studiers or Qualified by Experience are suitable for this role 
  • Strong experience in systems work, particularly in systems upgrade testing and development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the firm.
  • Highly self-motivated and organised, capable of managing a varied and challenging workload.
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Databases, Reporting tools, SQL, and VBA is advantageous.
  • Professional maturity and the ability to work calmly under tight deadlines.
