Management Accountant - Macildowie Recruitment and Retention : Job Details

Management Accountant - Permanent - Leicester - up to £35,000 per annum

Macildowie are working with a business based in Leicester city centre to recruit for a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Our client is a dynamic and vibrant business who have been a leading player in their industry for over the last two decades. They are looking for an experienced accountant to join their small finance team, ideally someone who is a self-starter and can hit the ground running with elements of management accounts.

Some of the main responsibilities of the role include:

• Support the month end closing process and complete reconciliation of accounts as required.
• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Balance Sheet
• Reconciling
• Review profit & loss and balance sheet each month to ensure accuracy of information
• Assists with VAT return
• Complete monthly commentary highlighting variances from budget/forecast

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• AAT qualified and /or currently studying towards CIMA or ACCA.
• Experience working within a month end focused role
• Excellent communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines

For this position, you will be required to be in the office for the duration of probation, but after this you will work on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week working from home.
