This is an exciting opportunity to join the internal finance function (NFO) as a Management Accounts Manager. The team is responsible for the monthly management accounts journals, firm-wide overheads, core function reporting, balance sheet reporting, which includes monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all areas such as accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, other payables, other receivables, along with ad-hoc projects/reporting. As a wide and varied role with strong professional development opportunities, you will play an integral part in driving forward the management accounts function of the firm and be responsible for the development of junior team members. This role is suited to someone who resides near to Preston and has a passion for upholding high standards and enjoys a variety in their work and likes to be challenged. Working closely with other members of the NFO team, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical and interpersonal skills even further.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Managing, coaching and developing junior colleagues within the team, supporting their professional development, contributing to the wider culture of the team
  • Overseeing the month end close process of the management accounts and production of key reports
  • Managing risk, ensuring the team’s output i.e. balance sheet reconciliations are compliant with both regulatory and internal standards; documenting processes and controls
  • Ensuring accurate and complete accounting records are maintained with meaningful management information produced
  • Supporting on specific solutions for Project Acorn
  • Engaging with other parts of NFO, ensuring best practice is adopted
