Management Accountant - Simply 360 Search Ltd : Job Details

Our client, a well-established music and events company based in London, are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Management Accountant who wants to elevate their career to join their small but growing finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Head of Finance, managing three ledgers while delivering insightful analysis across various KPIs.
• Prepare flash and KPI reports alongside accurate monthly management accounts to draft level for review.
• Reconcile and manage all balance sheets, including intercompany balances, accruals, prepayments, revenue adjustments, fixed assets, and control accounts.
• Oversee payroll journals, resolving any queries directly with stakeholders.
• Draft and review intercompany recharges, ensuring accurate cross-company invoicing.
• Reconcile direct debit and PDQ general ledger accounts, and prepare, reconcile, and file VAT returns.
• Manage and mentor two Finance Assistants, providing support and ensuring deadlines for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and ad hoc tasks are met.
• Reconcile income, ensuring accurate posting of revenue journals from the CRM system and ticket platforms, while managing venue hire and event invoicing.
• Assist with budget and forecast preparation and provide general business support.
• Play a key role in the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by providing systems and Excel training across the business and supporting the Head of Finance with daily operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• AAT qualified with proven experience in a similar role.
• Ambitious, with a drive to progress and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Prior experience in a creative, fast-paced environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition would be a plus.
