Job Description :

We are currently working with an PE Backed healthcare provider based in the Midlands, seeking a Management Accountant. The role offers an exciting opportunity for a part qualified or fully qualified accountant to expand your commercial knowledge as well as joining a business on a strong growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Reporting:

  • Review monthly management accounts for designated regions, delivering key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and commentary for senior management.
  • Collaborate with finance, payroll, and ledger teams to ensure accurate transaction recording and monitoring.
  • Present draft and final financial results to department heads, explaining key variances.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for designated regions/companies, providing financial assistance and ad hoc analysis.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Compile annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and finance business partners.
  • Prepare periodic revenue and expenditure forecasts with variance analysis and commentary for senior management.
  • Interpret and discuss forecast results with department heads, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Provide financial guidance and support for designated departments.

Team Collaboration:

  • Build strong working relationships across the finance team and the wider business.
  • Contribute to month-end, forecasting, and budgeting processes by delivering accurate and timely reports for senior management.

Other Duties:

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required by finance business partners, the Head of FP&A, and the CFO.

Ideal Experience & Competencies:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent).
  • Proven management accounting experience, including presenting results to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with large data sets and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive team-player attitude.
